The Power of Salvation
According to the Bible Dictionary, salvation means being saved from sin and its consequences by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It involves death to and freedom from sin, a new perspective and creation, peace with God, adoption as God’s children, baptism, and the Holy Spirit. It has relevance for the whole person, both physical and spiritual, and especially for the poor. It is also a gift of sanctification, light, and revelation from God. It is God’s plan and purpose to provide his people deliverance and the highest good that he has prepared for them1.
