The Power of Salvation

The Power of Salvation in the Life of the Believer
    1. Salvation involves Deliverance a change of bondage a new liberty before God Galatians 5:1

          - "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (KJV)

          - Deliverance means to be set free from the law of sin and death by the power of Christ

          - Deliverance enables us to live in freedom and not to be enslaved by sin or legalism

      7. Salvation involves forgiveness a change of judgment, a new pardon by God Luke 24:47

          - "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (KJV)

          - Forgiveness means to have our sins erased and forgotten by God because of his mercy

          - Forgiveness is the message of the gospel that we are to proclaim to all people in the name of Jesus

      8. Salvation involves  the blood a change in life, and your life from God. The life of the new Christian is in the blood attached to the blood of Jesus that washes us and cleansing us first John 1:7

          - "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (KJV)

          - The blood means the life-giving sacrifice of Jesus Christ that cleanses us from all sin

          - The blood is the basis of our fellowship with God and with one another as we walk in his light

      9. Salvation involves prayer a change of communication, and you approach to God a  new way of communicating with God  1 John 3:22

          - "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." (KJV)

          - Prayer means to ask God for our needs and desires according to his will

          - Prayer is a privilege and a responsibility for those who obey God and please him

      10. Salvation gives you new Joy a change in emotion, a new delight in God Nehemiah 8:10

          - "Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (KJV)

          - Joy means to rejoice in God's goodness and grace regardless of our circumstances

          - Joy is a gift from God that gives us strength and motivates us to share his blessings with others
