Annet Mary Newton Tinkasimire Akiiki a woman of unwavering
faith and boundless love, was born on November 8, 1948, to Raphael and Dorothy
Kasaija (RIP) in Kabagunda village, Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda. From her
earliest days, Annet's parents instilled in her the values of education,
integrity, and compassion, laying the foundation for a life of service and
devotion.
Annet's journey into the professional world commenced at a
tender age, as she pursued her dreams of becoming an accountant. At the age of
23, she achieved her goal, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in
the Government sector. Her service spanned across ten different ministries and
government departments, where she showcased unwavering commitment and
diligence, leaving an indelible mark across ten different ministries and

Her dedication and exemplary service earned her the respect
and admiration of her peers, while the favor of the Lord sustained her through
every challenge and triumph. In 2009, Annet retired from her esteemed career,
leaving behind a legacy of integrity, professionalism, and excellence.
Yet, Annet's contributions extend far beyond her
professional achievements. Her spiritual journey took a profound turn in 1982
when she encountered a life-altering experience—the miraculous recovery of her
son after fervent prayer. This encounter ignited a deep faith within her,
leading her to dedicate her life to Jesus Christ. From that moment onward,
Annet embraced her calling as an intercessor, standing in the gap for
individuals and nations alike.
Guided by her newfound faith, Annet embraced her calling as
an intercessor, answering the divine mandate to "stand in the gap"
for her nation and its people. In 1983, she heeded the Lord's call to establish
the prayer group "GAP" (God Answers Prayer), a beacon of hope and
faith amidst Uganda's tumultuous political landscape.
For over four decades, Annet and her fellow prayer warriors
fervently interceded for Uganda and nations worldwide, witnessing countless
miracles, signs, and wonders as testaments to God's faithfulness.
In 1996, Annet's spiritual journey led her to a divine
encounter with Judy Miriam Turnbull, a connection orchestrated by God Himself.
United by their shared passion for prayer and ministry, their friendship
blossomed, laying the foundation for a transformative partnership that
transcended geographical boundaries. Through Judy's ministry and Annet's
unwavering faith, they facilitated numerous initiatives including annual ASAPH
conferences and cross-cultural exchanges, aimed at spiritual renewal and empowerment,
touching the lives of countless individuals in Uganda and beyond.
Annet's legacy is one of unwavering faith, relentless
perseverance, and boundless love. Her life exemplifies the transformative power
of faith and the profound impact of divine connections.
