MY TRIBUTE TO ELDER AGNES KLINE
My wife, Everine, and I, along with the Global Life Church family, extend our heartfelt condolences to Apostle Sharon Amey and the entire family of our dear sister in the Lord, Elder Agnes Kline.
I write this tribute in remembrance of a woman whose spirit was quiet, yet her faith was mighty. Elder Agnes was a true intercessor—a woman whose prayers reached both heaven and hearts here on earth.
Our friendship began while she was attending Faith Christian Fellowship Church Alive in Christ. She carried herself with a gentle grace, and it became clear early on that she was a woman you could count on when prayer was needed. Whether we gathered in homes or in public spaces, I could always send her a simple text—and she would show up with her spirit ready and her heart aligned for intercession.
When prayer resumed after the COVID-19 disruption, she continued in that same spirit at Global Life Church. Her faith wasn’t reserved for the sanctuary alone. She also prayed for her community with the same devotion, standing in the gap for others with quiet strength.
Our paths crossed outside of ministry as well. At the bank where she worked, she was instrumental in helping me secure my mortgage. I was a man of faith walking into a bank, only to discover that a woman of faith was already positioned there to help. Though I didn’t have the full downpayment, she went above and beyond—reaching out to another lending institution to inquire about a possible solution. I will never forget the call when she told me the funds for the downpayment had been approved and her bank would provide the mortgage. That’s the story behind the home I now live in. Her helpful spirit made that possible.
Elder Agnes will be deeply missed—her warm smile, gracious demeanor, and quiet power in prayer left a mark that cannot be erased. We, the intercessors of St. Thomas, will miss her deeply. Her presence among us was not loud, but it was unmistakably powerful.
To her immediate family, church family, and friends—we stand with you in love and in prayer. May you be comforted by these words of promise:
“For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; he enters into peace. They rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness.”
Isaiah 57:1–2 ESV.
May her legacy of faith continue to inspire many. Heaven has welcomed home a faithful daughter.
