“It is time to: UNPLUG…REBOOT…RESET!”
Unplug from the world
- As Christians, we need to unplug from the world and its distractions, temptations, and pressures that can pull us away from God and His will for our lives.
- To unplug from the world, we need to plug into the things of God, such as His Word, His Spirit, His presence, His people, and His mission.
- A scripture that speaks about unplugging from the world is Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."1
- This verse tells us that we should not follow the ways of the world, but rather change our thinking and attitude according to God’s truth and wisdom.
- This verse also promises us that when we unplug from the world and renew our mind in God’s Word, we will be able to discern and do God’s will, which is good, pleasing, and perfect for us.

Reboot from the world
- As Christians, we need to reboot from the world and its influences, habits, and patterns that can corrupt our hearts and minds and hinder our growth in Christ.
- To reboot from the world, we need to reboot into the things of God, such as His grace, His forgiveness, His power, His love, and His purpose.
- A scripture that speaks about rebooting from the world is 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"2
- This verse tells us that when we are in Christ, we are a new creation, with a new identity, a new nature, and a new destiny.
- This verse also tells us that we should leave behind our old self that was influenced by the world and embrace our new self that is created by God.
Reset from the world
- As Christians, we need to reset from the world and its values, goals, and standards that can deceive us and lead us astray from God’s plan for our lives.
- To reset from the world, we need to reset into the things of God, such as His kingdom, His righteousness, His glory, His joy, and His peace.
- A scripture that speaks about resetting from the world is Matthew 6:33: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."3
- This verse tells us that we should prioritize God’s kingdom and righteousness above everything else in this world.
- This verse also assures us that when we seek God first and foremost in our lives, He will provide for all our needs according to His riches in glory.
In conclusion,
- We live in a world that is constantly changing and challenging us as Christians. We need to be aware of how the world can affect us negatively and how we can respond positively by following God’s Word.
- It is time to: UNPLUG…REBOOT…RESET! our lives as Christians. Let us unplug from the world and plug into God. Let us reboot from the world and reboot into God. Let us reset from the world and reset into God. By doing so, we will experience God’s presence, power, and purpose in our lives like never before.
