Time To Get In Agreement With God
Introduction:
What It Means to Agree with God
To agree with God means to align our thoughts, beliefs, and actions with His will and purpose. It involves trusting in His plans, acknowledging His sovereignty, and living in obedience to His commands. This agreement requires a daily commitment to seek His guidance and to follow His word, allowing His divine wisdom to shape our lives. As believers, agreeing with God brings us closer to fulfilling our spiritual destiny and experiencing the fullness of His blessings.
"Learning to enter into complete and explicit agreement with God in all things is the most important task the believer faces. Praising God is robbed of meaning if you disagree with Him. True worship only exists where there is harmony between the worshipped and the worshipper. Witness is only Spirit empowered and God glorifying when harmony exists between life and lip. All religious acts are deprived of spiritual significance when unbelief manifests itself in disagreement with God."- Richard Owen Roberts

Philippians 2:12-13:
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."* (NKJV)
2 Timothy 1:9:
"Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began."* (NKJV)
Hebrews 13:20-21:
"Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."* (NKJV)
3. LORD, I Agree with You About the Wickedness of My Sin

Genesis 39:9:
"There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"* (NKJV)
4. LORD, I Agree with You Concerning Holiness of Life
Scripture Reference:
1 Peter 1:15-16:
"But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’" (NKJV)

7. LORD, I Agree to Guard What I Listen To

Mark 4:24:
"Then He said to them, 'Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.'" (NKJV)
8. LORD, I Agree to Place a Guard Over My Entire Body
Scripture References:

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."* (NKJV)

"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" (NKJV)
1 Corinthians 9:27:
"But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified." (NKJV)
9. LORD, I Agree That It Is Impossible to Love Both God and Mammon
Scripture References:
Matthew 6:19-24:
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (NKJV)
10. LORD, I Agree to Regular Bible Study and Devotional Reading
Scripture References:
Psalm 119:11:
"Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."* (NKJV)
Jeremiah 15:16:
"Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts."* (NKJV)
John 5:39:
"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me." (NKJV)
John 20:31:
"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."* (NKJV)

"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." (NKJV)
Romans 15:4:
"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." (NKJV)

"Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, 'Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!' (NKJV)
Colossians 3:23:
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."* (NKJV)
12. LORD, I Agree to Make Myself Continuously Available to You
Scripture References:
Psalm 1:1-3:
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." (NKJV)
Of course! Here is the continuation of John 15:1-8, 16 in the NKJV:
John 15:1-8:
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."* (NKJV)
John 15:16:
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."* (NKJV)
Conclusion
Agreeing with God means embracing His perspective and aligning our lives with His divine will. It is a commitment to trust His plans, obey His commands, and walk in His ways. By agreeing with God, we open ourselves to His transformative power, allowing His grace to mold us into vessels of honor. This alignment brings us into deeper fellowship with Him, enabling us to bear lasting fruit and fulfill our God-given purpose. As we agree with God, we experience the fullness of His promises and become a testament to His glory and faithfulness.
